In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room and vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." It was able to remove the majority of types of debris in our tests, and frequently went over the same area several times to give a thorough clean. In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86% of it. It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like socks or cords.
